  Cyrosphere 5: Lives Totally Forgotten

  Chapter One:

Ginger sat in her car totally shaken, unable to believe she had confronted Piper Granes-Sharp.

That woman was one of the most despicable human being she has ever had the displeasure of meeting. She hated to say so, but maybe Jensen was right and she was going about all this the wrong way.

She sighed and thought, "Shit is getting complicated."

Before she could think Ginger slammed her hands against the dash.

She says, "I need to go for a run."

All her plans vanished once her cell phone start buzzed in her pocket. She had a missed call from Jurnee.

She says, "Oh shit the wedding. I totally forgot."

Ginger tapped the redial key as the ignition came to life.

Jurnee’s voice answered, "Where are you?"

Ginger explains, "Running late! Don’t worry, I’m on my way."

Jurnee sighed and says, "Fine….see you in a few."

  Ginger responds, "Sure thing."

She pressed down on the gas to Jurnee's mansion, which was now theirs'. A private ceremony with close friends, and Penny's only living relative. Her dad was going to walk her down the isle.

Being the last to arrive was a bit awkward. She used magic to transform her torn blue jeans and long sleeve shirt, into an elegant, knee-high blue ribbon dress. As Ginger entered the mansion’s foyer walking inside to the high ceiling, open sunlight room they usually used as a sunbathing area. She sees Jurnee at the alter with Malcolm looking absolutely stunning pants suit.

Malcolm was to officiate of the ceremony for the couple. Ginger rushed besides Kara, Stacey and Gretchen, the other bridesmaids. She squeezed in-between her stepsister and Kara. Soon the music began thanks to Guadalupe, the music supervisor started the stereo allowing Penny to know her que to start walking down the isle with her handsomely dashing father.

Before long the ceremony had ended, and we followed the bride and groom down the aisle, out the way we came. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was being held outside in the backyard. Kara had really outdone herself on the decorations. The backyard looked like a fairytale with lights shinning, lining the trees and chairs. No wonder she designed the club because it was breath-taking.

Luke came up besides Ginger and his arms wrapped around her. She leaned against his warm body for comfort. She spotted Guadalupe again and he wasn't alone.

Ginger gasps and says, "Oh my God. He brought the boyfriend."

Luke chuckles and replies, "That is what a person generally does when dating."

She swats his shoulder and he mouths a fake oh.

Guadalupe introduces her to Stephen Shar. The Greek male witch was thirty four years old. He is 6'2, but standing next the Lupio they looked like equals. His muscular frame matched Lupio's.

Leo walked up to her, and whispers, "We need to talk."

His expression worried her as she says, "Sure. Be back soon babe."

Ginger kisses him farewell as she follows Leo into an empty room. No, she sensed another person as well. Mark was here.

  Ginger asked, "What's going on?"

  Mark responds, "Trouble."

  Chapter Two:

She waits to see what they had to say. First Leo cuts on the lights, and Ginger can see Mark behind a huge mahogany desk. In the seats before him she sits next to Leo.

Leo Lions, a former fling who things ended because she had a brief cosmic connection with Mark. Mark GrimJones is the definition of Hottie Mcbody. Both were former boyfriends and now she is trying to be friends with them.

Ginger asks, "What is this about?"

Leo states, "A case we need your help on."

Ginger asks, "What makes you think I want any part in this drama."

Mark clears his throat and says, "You are incredible."

Those few words heated Ginger's cheeks and stole her breathe away. She quickly looked at Leo who sitting in his seat calmed her.

Mark sighs and responds, "At getting things done. Can we all be mature here? Ginger, you have connections as do we, so us all working together would be beneficial."

Ginger nodded and waited for them to continue.

Leo says, "So my buddy Sheldon needs help. Can you meet him tomorrow?"

Ginger answers, "Sure after my shift at Bread Bar. Say around two. Bring him so I can wrap this up quickly. I still have classes you guys are messing with my life."

Leo responds, "We understand and appreciate all your help."

Mark states, "Come on guys. We have a celebration to get back to."

Ginger replies, "You guys go on ahead. I'll be there in a second."

Mark and Leo leave the small study and make their way back outside to the reception area. Ginger rubs her temples, trying to ease the tension. The last thing she wanted was to be drag back into all this pain and drama.

  Chapter Three:

The rest of the party Ginger was attached by the hip with Lucas Faraday Catallano. The handsome elf made her blood heat as she held his hand. She stared up at his green eyes and sighed. Luke pressed his firm lips to hers' and she melted into his kiss.

After breaking the kiss, Ginger went off to hang with Stacey and Peter. Guadalupe was with Stephen, while Jurnee had her wife Penny. Yvette was seeing some guy, so they left early to have some alone time. Kyle and Jordan were lounging out by the pool alongside Kara.

When Ginger saw her, the urge to talk to her suddenly emerged.

She thought, "Why isn't she seeing anyone?"

Once besides Kara, Ginger sat down and watched her a moment wondering where to begin.

Kara says, "You must be wondering why am I over here by myself?"

Ginger gasps and responds, "That's amazing. Have your powers returned to you?"

Kara laughs and replies, "Sadly no, but after seventy some years one becomes perspective. What did you want to talk about?"

Ginger answers, "My dreams. I remembered you special gift surrounded dream reading."

Kara smiles and states, "Dream projection is a lot more in depth then that. You are wondering what your dreams mean perhaps?"

Ginger sighs and replies, "Sort of. Mark and Leo want me to help them. My dreams have been on other things and not just helping others. I'm not sure when this will end? I can just have my life back and finish school. Work and have a relatively normal existence."

Kara nods and responds, "All is apart of destiny so trying to force the issue won't help anything for you. Just live your life, and just try to stay in the here and now. The future is uncertain for us all. How can you be happy about today when you are focused on tomorrow?"

Ginger nodded and they sat in silence a few moments.

She asks, "Why are you single?"

Kara chuckles and says, "Who says that I am?"

Those words shocked Ginger. She hadn't considered that maybe Kambria was a private person and was dating in secret.

Kara laughs and answers, "It's okay."

  Ginger asks, "You sure?"

Kara smiles and states, "My boyfriend Toby is a witch like me, or how I use to be. He is bu
sy running his own business. We can see each other when we can. I am not alone."

Ginger smirks and responds, "Sorry I was being noisy."

Kara laughs and declares, "Not at all. I don't mind. Enjoy the party; and go be with your boyfriend. I am sure he misses you."

Ginger asks, "How can you tell?"

Kara smiles and answers, "He loves you."

With those words, Ginger was in search of Luke to do just what Kara recommend, enjoy the party.

  Chapter Four:

The rest of the night flew by as Ginger wrote in her diary before falling asleep. She got up in the morning to make bacon and pancakes for the entire family. Peter had slept over, thank heavens she made extras. The boy may be trimmed but could eat. She looked at them and couldn't wait for their wedding, her smile was huge.

Of course everyone wasn't getting married, but she did just attend a wedding yesterday.

Was smack deep in the middle of planning another which made her nostalgic for her mom. She never got a chance to really appreciate her mom and dad's first everything.

Kisses and all the beautiful stories about happily ever after that parents loved to tell them

  time and time again.

She didn't have time to dwell on the past; she had to get ready for work. Ginger rushed and Peter promised to clean up the kitchen for her. She thanked him as she dashed upstairs for a quick shower and change.

Her seven hour shift at the Bread Bar seemed to fly by because when she glanced down at her watch it was 1:56 pm and the guys had arrived. Leo and Mark came along with a friend and sat while she clocked out from work.

Sheldon Jermaine Wilmington was a twenty two year old witch and detective who were running a murder investigation.

The serial killer always left a note behind with clues on his next murder. That displayed a pattern of stalking and hunting his prey. It was also taunting and frustrating as Sheldon explained the case to them in details.

What really shocked her was his killer was hunting down witches in particular. From the files she was gathering as much from her instincts, but one picture draw her attention. Once in her hands, she had a precognitive vision.

  Chapter Five:

The vision was two-fold. First showed the next victim, Kara and her boyfriend Toby Queen.

Ginger wondered, "How am I going to explain this to them without freaking them out."

The second part of the vision was her psychometry ability. It allows a person to see the past or future by holding an object. The picture of this victim somehow triggered her powers.

A tiny part of her knew she'd never stop being who she was meant to be, a hero, or a savior. Hell the chosen one to save the universe, not just the world but everything in them.

That was nerve-wrecking beyond words. She still hadn't told Stacey about what Piper said. One major problem at a time, so she would deal with this serial killer targeting witches first.

She thanked Sheldon for stopping by, and his warm brown eyes held hers' a moment. In that moment she didn't need her powers to know he was trusting her with this information. Ginger swore she'd upheld his faith in her and help stop this sick freak.

He smiled and left with Leo, but of course Mark had to linger a moment after. Sometimes Ginger swore this man could read deep into the depths of her soul.

Seemed to know when she was hiding something, or was least than forth coming then usual.

Ginger says, "Yes Mark, what can I do for you?"

Mark smiles and answers, "Trying to maintain respect by not reading your mind, but I know when something is wrong or off with you."

Ginger laughs and replies, "Oh, you think so? We never truly dated and you don't know me as well as you think you do."

Mark took a step towards her and his over powering woodsy scent hit her full force. She took a second to clear her head and refused the cosmic desire they shared.

  Ginger says, "I doubt that."

Mark looks into her eyes before stating, "I do. Trust me sweetheart, I know you very well. We will forever be in one another's life. Trust me on that. And secondly I know you because you touched my heart. Powers or not, we are meant to be in one another's lives."

Those words slammed the brakes on their connection; she took a volunteer step back to let distance clear the fog her body was under. His very presence sent her urges and hormones into overdrive.

She looked up to see Luke staring at them.

Ginger thinks, "Oh shit! How to explain this?"

  Chapter Six:

Mark finally become aware of his surroundings and exhaled as if regret registered on what this must look like. Luke was stunned more then angered by his expression, as Ginger walked directly to him without a backwards glance at Mark.

She hoped and thought, "That said it all. She wanted Luke not Mark. He needs to understand that. Hell all of them did to crash this cycle that Mark brought out in her."

It was like lust clouded her rational mind. She loved Luke, maybe could have made things work with Leo if he hadn't interfered the first time as well. Damn hormones.

Ginger states, "Luke we need to talk."

He nods, and Ginger sensed that Mark made the right choice and took off. Somehow she could detect his presence was absent and it helped to explain things to her boyfriend.

Luke stayed stoic as he looked at Ginger. She waited a second and then he surprised her by taking her hand and squeezing it. The small gesture made all her doubts, insecurities, and mistakes vanish in that moment.

  Ginger responds, "I can explain."

Luke shakes his head and answers, "No need to. I trust you and know you have history with Mark. Do I dislike the guy? Hell yes but I need to be able to handle seeing him around you. It isn't the end of the world and I am secure enough to admit he lost you and sure he wishes he had a second chance. Problem is you are with me, and I am not a fool to let you go over a moment of intensity."

Ginger smiles and Luke's lips sweep over Gingers'. The air escapes into his mouth, as she presses firmly against him while his arms wrap around her. Secure, comfortable and just absolutely perfect. She melted into his embrace into Sandy James coughed.

Well cleared her throat really. It was her boss; Sandy let her know she was standing outside the restaurant and still had on her shirt making out with her boyfriend. Ginger blushed, apologized and left immediately with Luke.

Luke asked, "How about lunch and a movie?"

Ginger nods and states, "Sounds fantastic. My treat."

Luke demands, "No way. I am spoiling you rotten into you forget all about any other guys."

She laughs and he holds her as they head upstairs to the movies.

Ginger replies, "I don't need reminding. I will enjoy every second I am with you. Believe that my love."

  Luke answers, "Oh I do."

She smiles and all her worries about the murders gone. A few hours to enjoy the company of her boyfriend were the remedy and he was her focus right now.

  Chapter Seven:

A few hours later Ginger was at home, sitting at her desk looking at the books she gave Stacey on investigation and profiling. Allowing her mind to go over what she needed to read from the reading she done.

Where to begin? She had read the files, happy that she had a photographic memory and began to make notes from what she saw. She texted Leo and asked him to get her copies of all the murders that were committed. That was step on once she finished making notes.

She got up stretched and went down the hall to talk to Stacey, and return the books. That part was easy, but now Ginger needed her stepsister's help. Stacey was the investigator.

Guess she gets it from her folks, and there was no shame in admitting she needed help.

Stacey was on her bed typing away on a paper she mentioned this morning. Stacey looked up and Ginger hated to bother her with only a few weeks away from being finished with school.

Stacey asked, "What's up? You have that guilty look."

Ginger shockingly says, "I do no
t have a guilty look."

Stacey laughs and sates, "You do when you are about to ask for a favor. Guilt for needing help, which I don't understand. It shows you are human and need others."

Ginger had to think on that later, let her analytical brain process that. She sat on Stacey's bed and didn't know where to start but figured the truth would be best.

Ginger responds, "We need to talk."

Stacey replies, "Isn't that what we're doing right now?"

Ginger tried to smile and answers, "Yes. So Leo asked me to look into a murder investigation. Witches are being targeted and the next attack is Kara, and her boyfriend. I am hoping you'd help me protect them."

Stacey beams, "Of course. Is that all?"

Ginger shakes her head and states, "No there is a lot more then that."
