In the morning she'd have to see how far Malcolm was coming along on planning the last minute details. Right before bed, Ginger couldn't believe Raymond had called it. That Spider would attack him for helping her.

Ginger just hoped, "Raymond is alive. Somewhere in her heart she knew he was. She had to believe that Spider wasn't capable of killing a person."

When morning hit, she didn't expect coffee to be brewing. The sweet aroma drew her downstairs where Peter Quentin Harman was frying bacon and turkey sausages for her.

The sight of him brought back her doubt that Raymond was alive, uncertainty of his cousin and what to tell him.

  Stacey says, "Almost done, babe?"

Peter grins and answers, "Yeah, five more minutes. You said Yvette likes oatmeal right?"

Aaron calls out as he enters the kitchen with a mug of steaming coffee in hand "Loves it.

She'd eat anything, but one of her favorites. Hell we all will eat anything so keep the food coming."

Peter laughs a hearty laugh and Stacey finishes setting the dinning room table. Ginger had to do it now to spare the entire family from hearing this.

Ginger says, "Peter we need to talk."

Peter looks over his shoulder at her and his smile fades. He nods and asks, "What is it?"

Ginger sighs and states, "It's about your cousin Raymond."

Peter looks confused and replies, "What cousin?"

Ginger tries again, "Your cousin Raymond came by last night and I don't know what happened to him."

Peter laughs which shocks her and he responds, "Weird joke. I'll be honest, I don't get it or if this is part of your book. I can't wait to read it."

  What just happened?

Suddenly without explanation, all the pieces fit into place. Malcolm's memory loss, the sudden confusion that Raymond displays. Spider did this.

He cast a powerful spell to make everyone forget. Oscar's words came back to her.

People that can control time aren't influenced by certain spells. This must be one of them.

Why she still remembers Raymond and his own cousin didn't. She needed to move fast.

Maybe Shalice was in danger if Spider knew she was alive.

  Chapter Twenty-Three:

Ginger ate breakfast with the family, but didn't taste a single thing. After Yvette offered to clean up as Aaron was getting ready to leave for work she turned to see Stacey gazing at her.

  Stacey asks, "Training time?"

Ginger totally forgot and answers, "Another time. I got a lot on my mind at the moment to concentrate."

Stacey nods and says, "I know. I have been busy myself lately, but I am here if want to talk you know that right? Yvette told me about Spider dropping by last night and here to talk if you want to. I am an excellent listener."

Ginger smiles and states, "I'm selfish."

Stacey gasps and demands, "Why would you think that?"

Ginger answers, "Here I am carrying on as if you didn't lose a family member. Jordan is gone and I should be offering you a shoulder to cry on. Or an ear to listen to if you wants to vent."

Stacey says, "Screw that. I want justice. Someone is first targeting witches and now indigos."

Ginger sighs and responds, "Great, two sociopaths to worry about."

Stacey laughs and replies, "We'll get through this like we always do."

Ginger grunts out, "We shouldn't have to. You just turned twenty one and you lost a loved one right before you are finishing school. This year is turning out great."

Stacey smiles and states, "Actually it is my sarcastic friend. I am twenty one and you through me a great party in which Jordan was here. So I have fond memories of him and I am getting married soon. We both are finishing school, so you should be happy as well.

Jordan was killed and that gives us something to focus on. Okay? We are following our dreams and that comes with complications like everybody who lives their lives."

Ginger nods and feels a ton better.

Now she was determined to find Shalice if she was alive. Stacey deserved to have her back and was sure Aaron would appreciate his wife coming home.

A text from Jensen saying he was on the road and will see her later. She called Luke to make sure they were on for dinner at her house. He reassured her he wouldn't miss it for the world, and couldn't wait to see her. She hung up the phone feeling giddy and got ready for school.

The day flew by and it was five thirty. She didn't have any classes at Dark Force University on Thursdays, so she headed home. Stacey had driven her car, so she can stay at the house that Ginger got them. She couldn't help but laugh to herself that Peter and Stacey had turned into sex addicts, when she pulled up outside her house. Jensen was here already.

  Chapter Twenty-Four:

Inside Jensen was talking to Luke as if they were old friends. They had only met on a few occasions at family gatherings, but now she guessed Jensen like Aaron was grilling him on his intentions with her.

Men! The man hadn't had a chance to grill Mark, and felt he had to this time with the guy she was dating. Maybe if he had she would have dated him, or Leo. She shoved that thought aside and smiled at these men that meant so much to her.

A knock sounded at the front door. Ginger still standing went to answer it since she lived here and they did not. A tall 6'0 man with wavy brown hair and a five o'clock shadow was there.

He had mesmerizing piercing blue eyes that made Ginger inhale as if her lungs forgot how to work in that instance. He was handsome, no a total fox. He was a mixture of Mediterranean and Italian. Whoever this was would be problems for Luke and Peter. He was the definition of sexy.

Stacey may be engaged and she in a committed relationship, but this stud was temptation.

His bright smile dis-charmed Ginger as he said his name was Jair Weatherly.

Jair, "I am an associate at the law firm with Yvette."

Ginger remembers Yvette mentioning him like several months ago. The name sounded familiar, but Yvette damn sure forgot to mention he was a foxy babe.

Jair explains 'Yvette asked me to pick up her case folder and a law book she left in the den."

Ginger nods and lets him inside.

She smiles and says, "Be back in a flash."

Jair states, "No rush. How else can I snoop around?"

He grins at her as Ginger goes down the hall to the library to find the case folder and book on the desk in the center of the room. With the chaos of Spider's visit last night, she must have totally forgotten to grab them this morning.

Ginger picks them up and goes back to the foyer, which is now empty.

She wonders, "Where had he gone?"

Ginger hears laughter coming from the kitchen. When she gets closer she sees him sitting with Luke and Jensen, chatting like they are all old friends. This man is so outgoing and socialable; no wonder Yvette didn't mention him. The girl was quiet unless she chose to be outgoing, like a mixed between introvert and extrovert. Three set of eyes turned to her as if her interrupting was so outrageous.

She smiles and shrugs, "Sorry to bother you guys, but I am sure Yvette will want this ASAP."

Jair nods and replies, "You're right. I better go. Thanks again, Ginger. I'll see myself out."

She wondered how he knew her name. The guys or Yvette must have mentioned it.

  Chapter Twenty -Five:

They had a quiet dinner thanks to Luke making spaghetti and a salad. Jensen cleaned up the kitchen, while she sat out back under the stars holding Luke's hand. She pointed out her garden; she started taking care of in honor of her dad, Thein.

Seeing a weed grow to a beautiful master piece used to be the best part, or at least what Thein had taught her. They kissed some and he finally go up to leave. Ginger was so happy she met hum that she almost forgot Jensen was here inside the house waiting to talk to her.

She needed to revisit Piper and found out about the past. It seems to keep jumping into present day situations.

She sat down in the den whe
re she found him and says, "So we need to talk."

Jensen nods and replies, "I gathered as much from your text message. What's up kiddo?"

Ginger sighs and states, "I saw Brutus Creed recently and he informed me that the elders along with your past are going to come crumbling down around me. A guy came and tired to help me find Shalice and Spider suddenly appears and attacked us. This guy is now missing and been completely erased from people's memories. The same certain spell that was used on Malcolm by Spider, the one you told me about. I have no idea what to do about all this."

He takes a few seconds to think this over and she sits patiently waiting. Ginger had so many things running through her head and had no idea how everything would turn out.

Jensen says, "I guess it is time I told you some more about my past."

Ginger nods and clarifies, "That'll help me a great deal."

He sits back and closes his eyes before he begins, "I had just come here with Viven and Parker."

Ginger stops him and asks, 'Viven Delrow and Parker Tilleman, you mentioned them before hadn't you?"

Jensen nods and says, "They were my bestfriends. I loved them like family. We came through this universe but we didn't come alone. We came with a dark entity. It posses people and corrupts them. Seconds familiar?"

Ginger gasps and asks, "Are you telling me you are personally responsible fore what happened to Feltus?"

Jensen states, "Absolutely. That man you met was corrupted by the dark entity. Not the sweet, helpful kind boy that I knew. I take full responsibility."

Ginger snaps, "You weren't alone. Where are Parker and Viven now?"

Jensen sadly answers, "Parker is dead now, and I have no clue where Viven is."

Ginger demands, "Is it possible she is the one after indigos?"

  Jensen responds, "Why?"

Ginger replies, "That is the million dollar question."

  Chapter Twenty-Six:

They sat there, Ginger mainly listened and asked a few questions as Jensen shed more light on his complicated past. The one that Raymond eluded was part of their destiny if Shalice was brought back.

Ginger states, "Okay, we need to see Piper."

  Jensen frowns and asks, 'Why?"

Ginger replies, "She is a shady character."

Jensen laughs and responds, "So are a million other people. We don't go barging into their lives."

Ginger snaps, "Good point. I don't trust her and she was personally hired by MaryAnne. We need to find out what she is up to."

Jensen shakes his head and answers, "Sounds like someone is becoming obsessed."

Ginger slams her back against the chair in frustration as Yvette comes down the hall past the den/study in sweats and a tank.

Yvette asks, "Just wanted a book to go with my applesauce. Is that a crime?"

Ginger says, "No, you need to go out. You can't let what happened force you into a life of fear."

Yvette sighs and states, "I know. Hey, when did you become so wise?"

Ginger beams and clarifies, "I get if from my family."

Yvette smiles and answers, "Okay. I got an idea. I'll go out if you come with me."

Ginger shakes her head and says, "Don't want."

Yvette laughs and says, "Now who's hiding?"

Ginger rolls her eyes and replies, "This is blackmail."

Yvette grins and nods before saying, "Yeap."

  Ginger replies, "Fine, whatever."

Yvette demands, "Great. Goodbye Jensen. Now Ginger get your butt upstairs and change. We are going dancing."

Ginger thinks, "Oh great. Just what I wanted to do tonight."

She sends a text to Penny who she hasn't seen in a while, asking if they wanted to join.

Stacey wasn't home, busy with Peter at their new house. That present has turned into a little love-nest for those two. She sends her sister a text along with Lupio.

Ginger smiles and wonders, "Would Luke want to go?"

She is playing with her keyboard as she opens her closet and thinks, "What to wear?"

  Chapter Twenty-Seven:

Ginger went with a long sleeve purple v neck shirt that plunge dangerously low, showing off her ample breasts. She had asked Luke who was going to met her at club Scarlett which Yvette wanted to go to.

Since Ginger told Jensen goodbye after Yvette's spur of the moment outing. She wanted to cut lose, so Ginger was the designated driver so they were going in her Prius.

For some reason she loved driving this car, it was homey and welcoming like Yvette.

Yvette got gleamed up in a knee length get-up that was sure to stop traffic. Some guy better watch out.

Ginger asked once they got out the car, "Who is Jair?"

Yvette laughs as she put on her wedges and responds, "A decent guy, single and totally not my type."

Ginger smiles and says, "Why not sis?"

Yvette shrugs and replies, "Why so interested sis?"

Ginger giggles and answers, "Inquiring minds and all that, plus I got to make sure he is decent for my sister. Whoever the guy is, even if not Jair."

Gretchen was here with a few other people from Dark Force University. This place must be the happening spot, but the line to get in was non-existence. That was strange, but Ginger shrugs as she and Yvette walk past the bouncer and his massive grin.

  She thinks, "Strange."

Once off the streets and inside the place are gray walls with bright shades everywhere. A disc ball with flashing colors being shot off in intervals of five to ten seconds.

She saw Robin Amelia Winters, a witch sitting next to Gretchen. Nichole Valentine Spaulding, a demon that goes by Nikki is sitting next to Robin. Haruki Jeremy Bishop, an elf is next to Nikki's on her other side. The four were sitting next to Miguel Abraxas Flores, also a demon. Yvette made a beeline to their long table and parks down with its' great view of the dance floor.

Miguel looks up and says, "Solis didn't think you were the partying type."

Ginger frowns and answers, "I'm not."

Yvette pips up and states, "I am, at least for tonight."

Nikki says, "All are welcome. Now, let's dance."

Yvette smiles and jumps up before responding, "I'm down."

And off Yvette, Nikki and Haruki went. Gretchen is swaying back and forth to the beat. Miguel gives Ginger a flirty gaze when she felt strong arms pull her back.

Luke whispers in her ear, "Relax."

With those commanding words, she does just that and soon everyone begins to arrive.

Ginger thinks, "Time to put on my happy face, or at least pretend to."

  Chapter Twenty-Eight:

Stacey grabs Ginger back on the dance floor before Luke has a chance to get her that bottle of water that she desperately needed from dancing her butt off.

Ginger asks, "What are you doing?"

Stacey shouts back, "Forcing you to have a good time. Remember I can read your mind, now come on and lighten up for me. Please."

Ginger frowns when Jurnee comes sliding up against her and twirling her which forces her to giggle.

Jurnee gasps and says, "See she can lighten up and smile."

Stacey asks, "What do you say you enjoy tonight."

Ginger nods and states, "Fine whatever."

Stacey responds, "Tomorrow is the funeral so tonight just let go and loosen up. I need to have fun as much as Yvette."

She nods and sees Lupio standing besides Stephen, both grinning like love struck fools.

Yvette is tearing up the floor with Miguel, which surprised Ginger. Sure he was sexy, but she never would have put those two together.

It wasn't her place as she went back to Luke who was chatting with Gretchen and Robin.

Robin asks, "Where you been girlie?"

Ginger smiles and responds, "Talking to my sister."

Gretchen laughs and goes, "Which one?"

Ginger lifts her eyebrow and states, "Stacey. Why?"

Gretchen says, "I don't know but some guy was talking to Yvette bef
ore Miguel pulled her on the dance floor and then he went over to Stacey. He had the most intense eyes I have ever seen."

That stuck a cord as Ginger looked around; Yvette was still dancing with Miguel. Peter was now sitting besides a two month pregnant Penny.

  Robin asks, "What is it?"

Ginger shakes her head and answers, "I don't know but something is most definitely off."

  Chapter Twenty-Nine:

The entire group searched for twenty minutes with no luck because Stacey had simply vanished.

Ginger couldn't explain it to them but it was something about Gretchen mentioning a stranger with intense eyes and she wondered, "Who was it? And why would they want to hurt Stacey?"

That question ran on repeat inside her head. She also remembers Hannah saw to watch out for Stacey, could that perhaps been a warning. Spider was dangerous. Some indigo killer was on the rampaging and now witches being murdered. She didn't like this at all.
